Fingertip Notes Pro (“the App”) is a local-first task management application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection laws in Europe and Africa.

3. What Data We Collect

The App stores the following data locally on your device only:

  • Task titles, descriptions, notes, and due dates

We do NOT collect: names, email addresses, location data, IP addresses, health information, financial data, biometric data, or any special category data as defined by GDPR Article 9.

5. How Data Is Stored & Secured

All data is stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB and encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption via the Web Crypto API. No data is transmitted to any external server. The encryption key is generated and stored locally on your device.

6. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transmit your data to any third parties. All data remains on your device. There are no analytics, tracking, or advertising services embedded in the App.

7. Your Rights (GDPR Articles 15-22)

You have the following rights:

  • Right of Access: View all your data within the App at any time.
  • Right to Rectification: Edit any task or category directly in the App.
  • Right to Erasure: Delete individual tasks or use “Clear All Data” to remove everything.
  • Right to Data Portability: Export all your data as JSON or CSV files.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Clear all data and stop using the App at any time.

8. Age Restriction

The App is intended for individuals aged 16 years and older, in compliance with GDPR Article 8. Age confirmation is required on first use.

9. Cookies & Tracking

The App does not use cookies, trackers, or any form of analytics. Your browsing behavior is not monitored or recorded.

10. Data Retention

Data is retained locally until you choose to delete it. Clearing your browser data or using the “Clear All Data” function will permanently remove all stored information.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
