By accessing and using Fingertip Notes Pro (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Age Restriction

The App is intended for individuals aged 16 years and older. By using the App, you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age. This requirement is in compliance with GDPR Article 8 regarding conditions for child consent.

3. Description of Service

Fingertip Notes Pro is a local-first task management application that allows you to:

  • Create, edit, and manage tasks with priorities and due dates
  • Organize tasks with categories and tags
  • Search, filter, and sort tasks
  • Export your data in JSON and CSV formats

All data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to any external servers.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for:

  • Lawful purposes consistent with the App's intended function
  • General work tasks, personal notes, and task management

You agree NOT to use the App for storing:

  • Sensitive personal data (health, financial, biometric)
  • Data belonging to third parties without their consent
  • Data relating to children under 16 years of age
  • Illegal content or content that violates others' rights

5. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and branding, is the intellectual property of [Your Company Name]. You retain ownership of all content you create within the App. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the App for personal and professional task management purposes.

6. Data Responsibility

As all data is stored locally on your device, you are responsible for:

  • Maintaining backups of your data using the export feature

  • Any data loss resulting from clearing browser data or device failure

7. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to data loss.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain the App's availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. As a local-first application, core functionality remains available offline once the App has been loaded in your browser.

9. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union, particularly the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts within the EU.
